An Old Woman's Outlook is a book of essays, one for each month of the year, on different aspects of life in Otterbourne and nearby Hursley leading up to 1890. This is a fascinating window of life in the area during the mid Victorian era. Although not specifically in the New Forest, it includes many observations about the New Forest and the customs still practiced to this day.
